The corks were packed in bags and stacked on pallets, which was not the most efficient way of transporting them and affected the product’s competitive value.

This way, ESI developed an innovative robotic system for packaging cork stoppers that manages to reduce the transport volume by 30%, by organizing the corks in boxes. In addition to this reduction in transport costs, which directly influences the final cost of the product, we have made the process more sustainable, as plastic consumption has been reduced.

The patented solution we created is made up of a completely autonomous full-automatic cell.
